ROFL... go ahead I don't care if you're ruining everyone's game by acting stupid you just prove my point ... Thank you! TI I feel that it's the people who take the game way too seriously that ruin it for everyone.

It doesn't take much skill to aim an MG42. When most people start off playing this game, they start with an MG. It's the same thing with that. You can listen behind a wall, and when someone pops out, you start firing randomly. Also, you can wall with an MG. That, I think, is worse than a zooker. At least with a zooka, it takes a minute to reload. With an MG, you have 250 bullets to try to get as many kills as you can. I would much rather go against someone who is using a zooka than an MG. So if you think that an MG requires more skill than a bazooka, I think you're wrong. Think about it this way...if the person doesn't have headphones to hear footsteps, who's gonna do the most damage? An MG, or a bazooka. MG wins every time.

I agree with the negativeness the zook has, except for ther objective they should be removed from servers because of missuse. Unlike the MG "walling" thats just a part of reality. They kill alot of our guys through walls, and even cement walls, if you read history. Just remeber not to nit pick the realism out of the game.
Keep it real!!!!

Well, if we want to keep it real then being able to shoot the ground or the wall straight behind someone when they are right in front of it, should kill the person. I think that is a big mess up that the creators overlooked.

i agree with mav about shooting the ground or ceiling is sumtin they shouldve dealt with better when making game. zooks were used to blo walls and disable tanks and buildings. we use them far too much in dod.

I was taught in the USMC the whole key to winning a firefight was overwhelming firepower. It is tried and true. If there are zooks on a map and they can be used to advantage, why not? We used them in V.N., and in the open, they were used similar to a grenade launcher. Fire into the enemies ranks hoping the shrapnel would get some of them. WP was a good round to use. I do not use them in DoD because I lack the skills, so this reply is not in my interest so to speak.

Iota thats a great point, I agree that zooks are a little unfair if like 5 people do it, but since we usually limit to 2 per team now, things have been a lot better IMHO..... It is a good way for talented people who know how to do this to maintain a tighter control over what might be a failing team otherwise. I mean really..... do the zooker teams OFTEN outpush the team your on? their focus is on defence and kills. Thing of it like then allies offencive on normandy or the other french nazi bunkers. Overwhelming defence can only be beaten by really disgustingly sick offence......
DM...... If your not dead yet I'll be with you shortly....

DM I totally agree with your comment if any player who are using the zooks were using their intelligence. Again tonight when we're playing Kalt one teammate decide to panzer our own house for no reason. For me this is no better than an asshat blocking a door or an access and ruining everyone's game.

i think that 1 bazooka per team can accomplish what everyone in this thread has thought their purpose to be...blowing up objectives, defending(see kalt), or killing ppl....to back up another point Iota brought up...overwhelming firepower is sumtin we should stress in team play. when you turn a corner or your going for an objective, 2 or 3 ppl advancing, or turning a corner, shooting in concert(together) will over power the 2 or 3 enemy that probably ARENT acting in concert. when u take the bridge in saints or kalt; thro nades and prefire at the spot where the enemy turns the corner and faces bridge...even if no ones there...thro and fire...in concert. overwhelming fire as Iota said.

i personally like using the zook in some maps, like glider, when it can actually be used to capture objectives. It is very useful, though for clearing out tunnels and locking down the sniper house on saints. I don't think that there are too many, the only maps they really have a huge advantage are the ones with the flags in tunnels.

NYC; when we are Axis, ya know how a zooker will get in the doorway and blow us to hell as we try to get to the broken bridge? That's when ya go 'round from the backside and stab 'em longtime. LOL They don't come back very often.
